Hotel Belleclaire is a ...

Hotel Belleclaire is a lovely blend of old New York charm and modern comfort. The location on the Upper West Side couldn’t be better — quiet, residential, and just a short walk to Central Park, the subway, and plenty of great cafes and restaurants. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side (as most in Manhattan are), but they’re clean, stylish, and comfortable. The hotel has clearly kept some of its historic character while updating the essentials — nice linens, good water pressure, and reliable Wi-Fi. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in was smooth. There’s also a small café in the lobby, perfect for a morning coffee before heading out. If you’re looking for a cozy, boutique-style stay in a safe, charming neighborhood, Hotel Belleclaire is a great choice.

Iconic hotel that has been recently renovated. Even though the hotel was packed, we heard no one. Bedding was top quality. Prices were reasonable for NYC. Great location a block from subway. Near Central Park and the museums. All of the hotel staff were very friendly too! They included vouchers for the cafe next door that had great coffee and amazing pastries!

Exceptional Stay - Thanks ...

Exceptional Stay - Thanks to a Remarkable Staff Member Especially Maria! The hotel is in an excellent location, and overall, it was a delightful stay. One regret is that the rooms were made smaller during the latest renovation - a real shame. Additionally, the bathrooms are lacking shelf space, which makes it difficult to store toiletries conveniently. (we upgraded from the Deluxe 1 Queen Bed (fit for one person for an overnight) to a 2 Queen Bed.) Another disappointment was that breakfast voucher, which felt insufficient given the overall price. That said, everything else was outstanding: the hotel is pleasant, clean, and welcoming, with a courteous and friendly staff any hotel owner would be proud to call their team. I would especially like to commend MARIA at the front desk, whose very presence elevates the guest experience. Her warm smile, grace, and genuine care transform this hotel into a five-star experience — and beyond. In all my travels abroad, I’ve never encountered a front desk employee like her. Maria is the perfect blend of kindness, professionalism, and empathy. I will always remember her. She (MARIA!!!) alone makes this hotel stand out as one of the best I’ve ever stayed in.
