Ordered an extra pillow and they delivered fast. Some hotels tend to take a while. The room was a reasonable size with nice amenities. And two blocks from the 1 subway which was nice. And a few blocks from Central park and a few museums. The coffee shop in the hotel was friendly too. I'd definitely stay again. (Staff recommended The Cottage for Chinese delivery, I'd try somewhere else. Everything tasted like it was fried fish.

The staff greet you with genuine warmth. The hotel entrance has been redone and is gorgeous. Next door is a French bakery that serves a lovely continental breakfast in the lobby. By the end of my five-night stay I knew all the desk managers by name and with fondness. It is a hotel that welcomes you like family and tends to your every need. They make traveling a pleasure and reach out to help however they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. I was joking with David at the front desk one night that they “need to have a bar” on those cold winter nights for a nightcap after the theater. He brightened and happily informed me they are working on it and by next year there ought to be a bar on the 9th floor. You see…it’s a perfect hotel! I love the staff, I love the location, and I love the hotel. It’s a joy and I’m already looking forward to booking my stay for next December. Hotel Belleclaire makes New York even more special

Most importantly, I have celiac disease and ate something that was labeled "gluten free" but was not. I became very ill. Though we had checked out already, the hotel was incredible. I explained to the front desk what had happened, asked them if there was anyway I could get a room for few hours to be sick and get better. Without hesitation, they gave me a room, let us stay for 3-4 hours until I was well enough to travel, did NOT charge for the room and did not charge for the extra time our car was with them. Christopher was so incredibly supportive and understanding. My worst fear is getting sick while traveling, and while it came true -- I could not have asked for a better hotel. The staff, especially Christopher, just showed basic human kindness and decency and I am so grateful. They took it seriously and expressed deep concern when we left
