This is a great old school hotel at the magnificant location.

Had an absolutely incredible experience. The reception staff, the doorman, the cleaning crew everyone was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. One day there was a happy hour in the lobby and the staff really made you feel like family. This was probably one of the best hotel experiences I have had anywhere. The bakery was also phenomenal. If you're visiting NY and want to be close to everything you can walk to central park, museum of natural history and close enough to Times Square without having to be too close to it this is the perfect spot!

Lovely old hotel -- clean, comfortable. Some rooms are pretty small as you'd expect in a building this age. There is no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker in the room. The French café near the entrance, just off the lobby, is first-rate. The cocktail lounge is cozy for a nightcap. Service is superb.

Great location and clean rooms! Yes, the rooms are on the small side but the showers are big and it’s NYC, not sure what people expect at this price point on the Upper West Side. Beds are very comfy and they have free tours and happy hours for their guests. Highly recommend!
