What Guests are Saying About Hotel Belleclaire

Hotel Belleclaire has been my go to hotel in NYC for the last year. The standard beds are queen size and they have kings (none of the full bed BS I usually see in NYC) and there are blackout shades and great firm mattresses. There is cable so I don't have to deal with logging into my annoying streaming accounts. The staff are incredible - from my very first guest interaction with the wonderful Joelle (who lent me a phone charger) at the front desk to the many other helpful + friendly team members (housekeeping, doormen, etc). For example, today I was stressed by the idea of transferring trains at 42nd St Station with my 7 year old twins and I discussed it with the front door man as I was deliberating. The front door man told me if I boarded the 1,2,3 train on the LAST train car, when I arrived at 42nd St station, I would be getting off right in front of the stairwell that would take me to the N, R lines, making my transfer quicker/easier. He was right and it made our journey so much better! This is high level concierge stuff, here! Other things I love: The location is INCREDIBLE - You can walk 5 blocks to the express 2, 3 train lines that get you to 42nd St and 14th St stops in mere minutes, many amazing restaurants and shops on Amsterdam + Columbus Ave, The American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Several great playgrounds and splash pads, and you can even stroll just 11 blocks south to Lincoln Center. The building itself is absolutely visually stunning from the outside and inside - and it brings a smile to my face as I approach it after an evening or afternoon out. The decor is warm and pleasing and fresh. The lobby has a lovely seating area where I can quietly sit and work and sip tea and listen to the great jazz they're usually playing on the house sound system. The authentically french cafe on the first floor is great and I appreciate the $10 off coupons we receive. Oh and the LAST thing I'll say that *truly* keeps me coming back is that there is free street parking in this part of town (and north). so I drive here and park a block or two away for my entire visit for *free,* occasionally moving for street cleaning but that is it. After moving away from NYC almost 20 years ago, I've bounced around where I stay when I visit, trying this hotel and that hotel. But after staying at Belleclaire for the 3rd time now, I just can't bring myself to try another hotel. In short, The Hotel Belleclaire on the UWS is a wonderful place to be! Book it!

Hotel located very close to Times Square. The front desk staff was very friendly. The bakery services were excellent.

I recently stayed at the Belleclaire while visiting family on the UWS, and I was blown away by this gem! The location is unbeatable, and the rooms were great. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome - super friendly and helpful! The in-house bakery and coffee were a game-changer, and the cherry on top was their delicious treats 🥐. I'm already planning my next visit, and if you're in the area, this hotel is an absolute must!
