What Guests are Saying About Hotel Belleclaire

Our room was clean and a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The bakery attached is delicious! I wasn’t amazed by the staff checking us in, but a huge reason for my five stars were the people behind the scenes. We had an engineer come fix our door, it wasn’t locking, he was wonderful. The housekeeping staff was amazing and in my opinion went above and beyond. They folded our pajamas and even moved around a little stuffed animal one of our children packed for us to have on our weekend away. Location is great. We would stay here again.

Ich war schon vor der Pandemie in vielen Jahren im Belleclaire. Die Lage an der Upper West ist sehr gut für einen Besuch in Manhattan und der Preis ist für NYC Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Die inzwischen renovierten Zimmer sind klein, aber haben ein schönes Bad und (DANKE) inzwischen Schallschutzverglasung und eine leise Klimaanlage, dazu brauchbares kostenloses WLAN. Man bekommt beim Check-In pro Tag zwei $10 Gutscheine für die französische Bäckerei direkt nebenan, die auch in der Lobby ab 7:00 Uhr einen Stand hat. Subwaystation und Supermarkt ist fussläufig in 5 Minuten zu erreichen und auch der Central Park ist nicht weit. Für einen Städtetrip also alles was man braucht.

Lovely stay at the Bellclaire 4/12-4/15, though our flight was delayed ~13 hours so we essentially lost a day in the city. I have to start with all of the staff we interacted with were absolutely phenomenal, from the door staff to the front desk and the bar staff. Everyone was exceptionally welcoming, helpful and at the same time professional. The hotel itself is a bit aged but still has a wonderful character. The room was mostly good, cleaning could have been slightly better and a shower wand would have been appreciated but still a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Location is unparalleled with most of the major museums within 15 minutes walking, times square and Broadway a short 45 minute hike or 15 minute subway ride. The meal vouchers really increase the value of this place, while the attached cafe was limited of gluten free options they seemed to have some pretty decent coffee. The Allure was great as well when open, especially with Aaron brightening up the space. From what I understand the kitchen was not staffed at the time of our visit, would really like to see some tapas or other small plates available.

This place was amazing! We visited New York in December 2022 and had the best time while staying here. The rooms were clean, modern and well-furnished. Would 100% stay here again if we ever came back to New York.
