Great location. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms super small. A bit pricey

My husband and I stayed here on a recent visit to NYC. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Central Park, train stations, and many of the museums. There is no restaurant or bar onsite but they do give you daily $10 vouchers (1 pp) to the French Bakery just next door, which was divine. Loads of restaurants one street over. It’s an older hotel in a beautiful building that is under renovation right now. Our window had a view of work scaffolding, although we never heard or saw any of the work going on. Room was small but clean and well-kept. Staff was helpful and attentive. They do have a good car service available through the front desk but it’s expensive.

We tried 3 rooms before finding the right one. First one was right in front of the elevator so it was noisy. Second one had a door to the next room and we could hear the neighbors as if they were in the room (who want to hear fart noises!). Last one was smaller and quiet. Breakfast coupons were given for the bakery next door, we were very impressed by the food. Word of advice, go early or be prepared to stand in line for 20+ minutes. Seating is minimal (maybe 10 people max inside/outside combined). Parking is wherever you can find it. The garage they recommend was $65/night so be prepared. Location was ok. We arrived late and left early so we didn't take advantage of the area.

Stayed 3 nights here. Fantastic location, near Central Park, AMNH etc and just down the road from several supermarkets and eateries. Area was quiet and felt safe. Staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working together. Room was ok for price, but we had to request for a kettle and more bottled water. No coffee/tea in room, and only plastic cups provided that kept falling over. Overall still a good stay and would recommend it.
