Two blocks from a subway station, plenty of local places to eat at affordable prices, and walking distance to central park all add up to a great location. Add in the price for the rooms and it's hard to beat the Hotel Belleclaire on value. The rooms aren't big but in my experience you're going to pay a LOT more in NYC for a room any bigger than this. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean, prompt service when issues did arise. Call or email them before booking and ask about any special pricing they may have. They are very easy to work with. I have done both the shared bathroom and dedicated bathroom rooms and both were suitable for the price. I can't recommend Hotel Belleclaire highly enough

Friendly staff, accommodating facilities. ...

Friendly staff, accommodating facilities. +The staff gave us a free 2 room upgrade from a double queen. 2 rooms with queens for $100/night! No better deal. The rooms are actually VERY nice. I visited a friend's room ($300/night) and it was far less modern. Bathrooms are good sized. Full shower with rain head, glass door, full tile floors. Rooms are small, but cozy. It's NYC. Get out of the room! No doubt this is the place to stay
