Fantastic service by the ...

Fantastic service by the front desk and doorman. So helpful and giving great tips! Shoutout to Naomi! Location is also great, within walking distance of restaurants, the American museum of natural history and Central Park. Really easy to head downtown. Pretty quiet area. The attached bakery is delicious but very busy. Be prepared to wait for your breakfast! The rooms are fine, but with oversized furniture and awkward doors so you need to squeeze everywhere. Door sound insulation is minimal. Be ready to join any hall conversations. Bed is extremely comfy, by far the best and most important feature. We slept great! Kind of hard to have two suitcases open in the small space. Bathroom is a bit drafty and the shower has seen better decades. Overall, would stay again but would give 5 stars if they have the rooms a bit more love.

Everything is exactly as ...

Everything is exactly as advertised. Great location and friendly staff. My room was noisy with hammering somewhere nearby commencing at 7.30am each morning and no carpets on the floor means you can easily hear people above and below and next to you.

This is a great ...

This is a great upper west side hotel. Just completed five night stay. Staff (including Amanda, Naomi, Benedict and Edward) was exceptional. Rooms were well-equipped and beds very comfortable. Only had a couple of issues. Water took ten minutes plus to heat up. Never had hot water at the sink except after showering. Next door bakery credit was nice gesture but onsite restaurant would have been preferable, especially given the bitter cold this weekend in New York . Overall this is a fine hotel value for upper west side.

Room was very small but adequate if you use it just as a base. The location is very good, close to central park and a (mostly) pleasant walk down Broadway to many of the New York sights. Staff were great.
