We stayed for a night in a premium king room. While yes, it's pricey, the location can't be beat. The room itself was nice and spacious, and felt very clean. The bed was comfy. The hvac unit is easy to control and actually is very quiet! Hard to notice it's on - if you like using the room hvac as white noise, you won't be able to do that here! As we were on the 9th floor, traffic noise was minimal (and the room window is quite small). However, it is very easy to hear people from other rooms or the hallway - bring earplugs if this bothers you! The coupons for breakfast were a nice touch. The cafe attached to the hotel has great pastries! As a side note, the elevators are VERY small - if you're claustrophobic, I'd highly recommend asking for a lower floor and taking the stairs!

Nous avons passé une semaine exceptionnelle à l’hôtel Belleclaire. Le personnel est particulièrement accueillant et attentionné, le service irréprochable, et l’emplacement idéal. Seul petit bémol : les horaires de fermeture du bar, mais cela reste un détail. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et reviendrons avec plaisir !

Good location on UWS - just a few blocks from 72nd street subway. Very nice hotel - rooms are small but well appointed.

I come to New York for work a lot, stayed here for the first time. The building itself is beautiful, the staff was really helpful and proactive, with a great attitude. Room was really clean, comfortable, the breakfast cafe downstairs was great too. Really good experience overall.
